I highly recommend this as a cost effective and informative way of experiencing Uluru. We didn't want to do a formal tour as we wanted to experience Uluru at our own pace. But, we wanted to learn about Uluru and understand its place in Aboriginal culture and the environment and geology. This ticked all those boxes. My only tip is to bring your own headphones, we didn't love the headphones that were provided

This amazing beautiful place and it’s stories were wonderful. I travel solo and always love the random interactions along the way. The audio guide was interesting but I would have liked a bit more depth

When our pre-booked guided tour cancelled at the last minute I was devasted. We were scheduled for a 6 hour sunrise and guided walking tour of Uluru and we thought this would be the highlight of our holiday. It was cancelled as our guide fell ill. In less than an hour, Alex from Uluru Audio Tours had helped me plan a self guided tour that was even better than we could have imagined. Alex took the time to calm my anxiety, talked with me about what we wanted to do and see, and then suggested a fantastic itinerary. She helped me book the Hop On Hop Off bus, and suggested what stops to use, and what direction to walk. After seeing the sunrise, we hopped back on the bus and got off at Mala Car park and walked clockwise - Alex accurately told us that this maximises our time in the shade. We ended our walk at the Culture Centre after walking 12 kms. The Auido Tour was amazing. The GPS was wonderfully accurate, even telling us about specific trees as we walked past. The information, stories of dreaming, and the history was easy to listen to and made the walk very enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour.

What a fabulous audio guide! We took it with us out to Kata Tjuta and completed the Walpa Gorge walk, and then back to Uluru and walked the Mutitjulu Waterhole (Kuniya Walk) and the Mala Walk. The GPS location picked up very well, and told us a lot of information not only about the Anangu people, but also the flora and fauna of the area. We plugged it into the car while driving, and when walking we all had one of our own and listened via headphones (provided). Totally recommend this!

Visit and spend time enjoying Uluṟu your way! We had a hire car so we hired this GPS audio guide.. fantastic. Drove through national park bring guided and advised of the history and stories of this beautiful site! Plugs into your car and speaks through your radio.. the device is also portable take whilst walking and continue to be audio guided as you walk.. you can stay as long or as little as you want at each stop.. Highly recommend! And super cheap in comparison to other tours available

The Uluṟu Audio Guide was amazing. We walked around the base of Uluru and the guide explained lots of historical facts, anungu stories, details of the plants and birds around us. Without this, while spectacular and fascinating, the base walk could have become very monotonous. We especially loved the Midnight Oil cover at around the half way point of the walk - lifted us from our tired point. Thank you so much for enriching our time at this sacred place.

Very good audio guide of the drive to, and walk around Uluru. The GPS location prompting for the commentary is really useful and being able to connect it to the car stereo made it really easy to use. Pick up and drop off service was cheerful and helpful. Would highly recommend for a tour you can do at your own pace.

We found the guide to be useful and informative. It gives more flexibility than a guided tour does as you can use it to suit your own timing and also listen to it as you drive along, thereby learning about the drive in and out as well as Uluru and Kata Djuta. Recommended.

We love seeing Uluru. The guide was good fun in that it starting talking when we got near to various attractions. I was unwell and couldn’t walk far so enjoyed pressing the button and listening to them. We only had one day so didn’t get to hear all of it.

These devices are a great way to explore at your own pace. Was amazed at the accuracy of the location feature. We are a family of 4, each had their own device and my 7 & 10yo children were able to plug their own headphones in for comfort. Highly recommend.
