Uluru (Ayers Rock) Field of Light Sunrise Tour image
Internationally acclaimed artist Bruce Munro’s Field of Light, inspired by a trip to Uluru 24-years ago, has been installed in a remote desert area within sight of majestic Uluru.

In the quiet of pre-dawn, this once in a lifetime experience will be etched in your mind forever. Arrive at Field of Light while the earth is still blanketed in darkness and wander through the field of 50,000 glowing spheres of colour while Desert Oaks seemingly appear from nowhere as the dawn light creeps above the horizon. You’ll eventually make your way to the top of an ancient sand dune where you’ll see the first rays of sunrise set the desert sky alight, flooding the landscape with warm light while you enjoy tea, coffee and hot chocolate with stunning views of Uluru.

Well organised and great to deal with. Plenty of time to wander among the lights. Welcome hot chocolate at the end. A great experience.

We are a visiting family of 4. We found the ‘lights’ themselves disappointing but our tour guides, Tush & Dax were on time, professional and friendly. Tush was particularly endearing with her enthusiastic and entertaining commentary. Included in the tour was tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and muesli bars. The sunrise was as spectacular as everyday, anywhere but the morning twilight and sunrise on Ayers Rock and the Olgas was majestic. Weather was perfectly clear but freezing!!! Recommend you wear your warmest clothes and footwear.

This was a great tour. The Field of Lights was spectacular. Tour guide Hans was fabulous. Warm, friendly, funny. Just what you need to start the day.

Well organised. Staff are friendly and helpful. If you have the time then I would recommend doing the evening tour instead of the morning tour. Excellent location to see the sunrise over both Uluru and Kata Tjuta.

It was worth the trip, it was an experience, even though man made it was a sight to see, the sunrise was beautiful

The Field of Light tour is beautiful. To be able to wander through through the amazing coloured lights before the sun rises is very special . Would definitely recommend doing this tour either at sunrise or sunset

Our bus driver hiroko was great friendly and knowledgeable and hans our guide was awesome so funny and entertaining. The reason the Lower score is just to do with the actual lights I’m glad I did it but imho nothing to rave about and for the price abit dear. Coffee and bikkies at the end was ok

Liked walking amongst the lights and watching the sunrise illuminate the environment and the changes in the lights as they were exposed to different natural light on the landscape
